Webster’s Ninth New Collegiate Dictionary omits this terms. It’s a term exclusive to Black-White relationships. This was meant to offend whites that defended the rights and interests of Blacks. It also discouraged well meaning whites that were inclined to identify themselves with “Negroes.”

In my spare time I like to study the etymological origin of words. As a youth I used to read the dictionary in order to expand my mental horizon. During the time of Kaepernick kneeling uproar I recall hearing people questioning his “blackness” or whether he was “black” at all. In observation of that criticism I decided to use Kaepernick as the focal point for this subject.
